In the picturesque facilities of Sofra Health Institute, each day we take care of the health of our patients. We have created original nutritional programs and unique treatments to support the prevention of civilization diseases.

The history of the Institute

Our history began in 1988 in the Jelcz Rehabilitation and Holiday Center in Mielno. The Jelcz" in Mielno Unieście, which in 2000, established cooperation with Dr Ewa Dabrowska as the "Sofra" Rehabilitation and Holiday Center. It was then that we introduced the vegetable and fruit diet. The Sofra Health Institute was established in 2014. A year later, we expanded our activities to include life science research.

Our mission is health prevention and support in preventing civilization diseases. We achieve it through original nutritional programs supported by a wide range of personalised therapeutic and rehabilitation treatments. We provide unique hospital treatment to support the prevention of civilization diseases.

What facilities for the disabled are available?

We offer stays for people with disabilities and constantly introduce facilities for them.

At Sofra Health Institute in Karpacz, these include a ramp to the reception desk, elevators adapted to the needs of the disabled, hand grips in bathrooms and toilets in the rooms, special chairs near the stairs, and a drop-down chair by the pool.

At Sofra Health Institute in Mielno, we currently offer one room fully adapted to the requirements of guests with disabilities but we are soon opening a new building in this location that caters to the needs of such guests.

Wellness stays

Our offer includes seven- and fourteen-day health stays that combine health and tourism purposes. The stays are based on original nutritional programs composed by recognized nutritionists and food technologists, supported by personalised rehabilitation programme. They include sets of exercises and therapeutic treatments adapted to the Patients’ needs and capabilities. Each Patient is provided with professional diagnostics, dietician support as well as medical, nursing, and physiotherapeutic care. The distinguishing feature of our offer is individual medical consultations with Dr Ewa Dąbrowska, the author of the renowned vegetable and fruit diet.

The purpose of our treatments is to support the recovery and prevention of civilization diseases, such as, for example, obesity, hypertension, diabetes and NAFLD.

In 2019, we expanded the scope of our business to include a research and development department to ultimately enrich our range of innovative products with scientifically proven effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of civilization diseases.

We operate in two locations: in the mountains, in charming Karpacz, and by the sea - in beautiful Mielno Unieście. We provide our guests with comfortable stays in places famous for their positive atmosphere, an offer proven by scientific achievements, and excellent therapeutic effects.
